Welcome to DEPOT KEDIRI SAMARINDA (VORVO), a delightful gem nestled in the bustling heart of Samarinda City, East Kalimantan. Located at Jalan Durian, Gunung Kelua, this fast food restaurant offers a vibrant culinary experience steeped in traditional East Javanese flavors.
As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by a clean, well-lit, and well-ventilated space that creates an inviting atmosphere for diners. The meticulous attention to hygiene is paramount; patrons will appreciate the immaculate wash areas equipped with soap and clean cloths for drying hands, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
But let's delve into the star of the show—the food! The signature dishes like the fried chicken and delectable fried eel serve as a tribute to the region's rich culinary heritage. As noted by diners such as Vernando Z S, the restaurant excels in delivering dishes that resonate with authentic East Java style—a must-try for any food enthusiast.
Patrons rave about the fried fish (Nila), which has earned accolades for its crispy texture and non-greasy finish. Janna Garcia couldn't resist ordering a second helping, praising how perfectly fried it was. The accompanying es jeruk drink, crafted fresh to order, perfectly complements this flavorful dish, invigorating the palate with every sip.
For those who relish a kick, the sambal served here is an absolute highlight. As Jimmy Thamrin notes, it's a 'must-eat' for anyone who enjoys spicy condiments. Coupled with the crispiness of the fried dishes, it creates a beautiful balance of flavors that excites the senses.
Moreover, the ambiance isn't just about food; it also features live street performances, making dining here a multi-sensory experience. Arum Indriani echoed this sentiment, highlighting the quality of both the food and the live music that enhances the overall atmosphere.

The place is clean, well lit and well ventilated. The wash area are clean with soap and clean cloth for drying hands. The food was delicious and everything was fresh. I ordered the Fried fish (they call it Nila) and it was so good! So good that I ordered another one. The way it was fried was not oily but it was very crispy. The es jeruk drink I ordered was freshly made, too! This is a good place to go for great food!

The food is good. I tried ikan mas goreng and it's really good. It's unique. The sambal is spicy but really good too. You need to go faster if you want to try Ikan Mas Goreng because it get sold out so fast. The portion is good too. I thought the Ikan Mas Goreng will be very small but it could be for 2 persons (if you don't eat that much). Very satisfied and will be back there again if I go to Samarinda again. Recommended!!!
